Three things to check in any commission brief

  1. How sales are counted. Which link or code, which attribution window, and who can see the numbers.
  2. Whether there is a base. A fee per video or per hour under the commission changes the risk entirely.
  3. The disclosure rule. In the United States the FTC Endorsement Guides apply to commission deals the same as to paid posts.
